Caribbean Divers is a small and very familiar dive center. We stand for fun with diving, personal contact and the shared experience both while diving and on land.
We attach great importance to safety, individual support and detailed, good training at every level.
Fior
Fior Obispo is Dominican and owner of the Caribbean Divers diving school.
She is responsible for the front office management and all administrative tasks.
She maintains contact with the local authorities, the navy and the Ministry of Tourism.
Guido
Guido Bachhuber is German, manages the operational business and is the training manager of the diving school.
He is the most highly certified instructor and instructor trainer in the Dominican Republic.
His main tasks are the training of instructors and dive professionals as well as quality management for diving, equipment and training.
Guido knows all the dive sites in Boca Chica and knows exactly where to find the interesting things to see.
He speaks German, English and Spanish.
Christian
Christian is a SSI diving instructor and leads dives as well as diving training.
Beside his engagement for a local environmental ngo he is working as a scuba diving security advisor for international film production on the island.
He is Dominican, extremely helpful, speaks Spanish and very good English.
Stephan
Stephan, known to everyone as "Steph," is an SSI diving instructor. In addition to dive training, he also leads diving excursions. He is passionate about training and particularly enjoys teaching "in-water skills".
A Canadian by nationality, he is always in a good mood, extremely helpful, and fluent in both French and English.
Michael "Michi"
Michi discovered his love for the Dominican Republic in 2019 and spends the winter months in Boca Chica.
He is an SSI Divemaster, always has a friendly word and a helping hand.
He is German and is currently learning Spanish.
Wolfram
Wolfram has been a passionate diver since 1993 and is a diving instructor at Caribbean Divers every January and February.
He trains up to Dive Guide level, is assisting dive instructor teaching and leads dives.
Part of his job is also taking care of Caribbean Divers’ website.
He is German and speaks fluent English as well as German.
Lina
As a dive instructor, she leads groups, teaches students, and especially enjoys long dives. She is still at the beginning of her diving career and continues to develop her skills.
Lina completed her dive instructor training with Caribbean Divers.
She is still at the beginning of her diving career and continues to further her education.
Lina is from Germany and also speaks English.
Ronaldo
Ronaldo is the base's skipper and equipment expert.
He is Dominican and is responsible for the maintenance and operational readiness of the boats.
Ronaldo always has a helping hand.
He speaks Spanish and a little German.
